Telenor’s Norkring signs maintenance deal with Rejlers

Telenor Broadcast Holding unit, Norkring, said it has signed a five-year maintenance contract with engineering consultancy Rejlers effective January 1, 2016. It covers exclusivity of field operations, fault corrections and maintenance of Norkring’s national terrestrial broadcasting network. There are options for Rejlers to take on larger and smaller roll-outs, without any commitment of volume.

 

Telenor Broadcast Holding unit Norkring said it has signed a five-year maintenance contract with engineering consultancy Rejlers from 01 January 2016. It covers exclusivity of field operations, fault corrections and maintenance of Norkring’s national terrestrial broadcasting network. There areoptions for Rejlers to take on larger and smaller roll-outs, without any commitment of volume. Norkring has well over 2,000 transmitter sites, as well as other locations. Several contractors were invited to negotiate and competition for the contract was tough, said Norkring. Rejlers is a Swedish company but the Norwegian arm has 250 employees with revenue of over NOK 300 million. Norkring transmits radio and television all over Norway and is the largest supplier of terrestrial broadcasting services. Norkring offers operations and surveillance of services and network 24/7.
