Armenia: Armentel upgrades fixed network

ArmenTel (the Beeline Armenia brand) is moving forward with the upgrade of its telephone exchanges and fixed telephony lines in regions. In May, work to modernize end-user lines began in the communities of Garich, Nakhapetavan and Saralandzh, Shirak Region. New lines will be connected to the upgraded telephone exchange.

 

Operator Armentel, working under the Beeline Armenia brand, is moving forward with the upgrade of its telephone exchanges and fixed telephony lines in regions, reports Arka.am. In May, work to modernise end-user lines began in the communities of Garich, Nakhapetavan and Saralandzh in the the Shirak region. New lines will be connected to the upgraded telephone exchange. The project is planned to be completed by 1 September. Digital telephony and broadband services from Armentel will become available in the area. In 2015, Armentel deployed its digital telephony networks in nine counties across the country; 2,684 broadband ports were installed in 12 settlements.
