Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar and technological cluster Radar Tech have shortlisted 11 finalist teams of Telecom-accelerator 2.0. The winner will be announced on October 4, 2017.
The largest Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar and technological cluster Radar Tech on August 8, 2017 presented 11 teams of finalists of Telecom-accelerator 2.0. The winner will be announced on October 4, 2017. Radar Tech Board Chairman and Managing Partner of Unit.city innovative park Maksym Bakhmatov said that a total of 186 applications were sent to Telecom-accelerator 2.0 since April 2017, while the debut project held a year ago under the VDNH-Tech brand, a total of 119 applications were sent. He said that 34 teams reached the semifinal and after the pre-acceleration 10 teams reached the final, as a year ago. Bakhmatov said that at least one winner will be selected at Telecom-accelerator 2.0. Kyivstar will sign a commercial project with the winner. However, last year four startups Nravo Kids, Virbox, Gravitec and inCust became commercial partners of Kyivstar. Kyivstar President Petro Chernyshov said that after the VDNH-Tech the operator has signed a contract with Virbox, and recently the company signed the contracts with three other winners. He said that business cooperation with startups is based on the revenue share model. The following startups were selected participants of Telecom-accelerator 2.0: Hideez — wireless key and universal identifier; Simo AR — a browser of augmented reality with the ability to visually search for goods and services; MBill – a service for accepting payments to a card for small businesses and individuals; Fora.One — IoT platform for integrating the components of a smart home and mobile phone; HexWix — recruiting service for cyber sports. The finalists also included: WInfoSpot — an interactive service for interacting with customers through mobile devices using Wi-Fi; Win Dim 24 — a single window of all housing and communal services of Ukraine; Greenbee — IoT solution for monitoring agricultural land; Shop Assistant — shop-bot, which allows you to make purchases while watching TV programs and UnexploredCity — a platform for thematic electronic excursions around the cities in Ukraine.
