Dutch regulator has closed an investigation into possible roaming regulation violations by MVNO Youfone. According to Youfone director Valentijn Rensing, the ACM confirmed the decision in a tweet. The case emerged in August, after a Youfone customer complained that he was still being charged for a EU roaming bundle despite the new ‘roam like home’ rules from mid-June. The ACM said it would study the complaint, and Youfone said it replied to a request for information from the regulator, outlining why it did not believe it was in violation. Rensing said the case had been resolved, and the ACM saw no reason to take it further. A spokesperson for the ACM said the regulator discussed the matter with Youfone. While there was no official complaint in the legal sense, it did find that Youfone violated the rules. However, this did not lead to any sanctions after the company proposed a solution to the matter. This was confirmed in a tweet by the regulator, which said the MVNO resolved the problems and would compensate customers.
